Class of 2024
Scholarships
- Visit the Trade Tech Scholarships page (button on the right side of the homepage) for more information on Scholarships and Promise Program links.
- Palomar and Mira Costa Promise Programs are first come, first served basis. Apply early!
- Palomar Scholarships window closes in March.

Costs to be a Senior (All are optional if your student wishes to participate)
- OPTION #1
If you choose to purchase a cap and gown, please click the
purchase link and that will take you to Jostens.com to pay $29.95 for your
graduation kit by April 26th. Note, that taxes and shipping fees are not included in this price.
You will pick up your purchased graduation kit on Wednesday, May 30
between 11:45-2:00 pm.
- OPTION #2
If you wish to borrow a cap and gown, please let Livi know, and she
will contact your parent/guardian. A parent must sign and pick up a cap & gown on Wednesday, May 30 between 11:45-2:00 pm.
All borrowed Caps & gowns must be returned on Monday, June 10
between 8-3 PM and must be in the same order they are received. If you wish to purchase a tassel, please visit Jostens to place an order before April 26. If they are not returned, there will be a diploma hold.
- $150 Grad Night @ Universal Studios - June 7th, 2024 (includes transportation and admission) (Payment due April 26, 2024)
- Senior Portraits – If desired, arrange with a photographer on your own
- Graduation Announcements – If desired, arrange with a printer on your own
December 2023
- Start your scholarship search
- FAFSA and Dream Act Application Opens
January 2024
- Prepare college applications being sent by Regular Admissions deadlines
- Assistance League of North Coast Scholarship application available January 1, 2024
February 2024
- If attending a CSU (including SDSU), determine if you need to take any placement tests.
- If attending Palomar or MiraCosta, enroll to get an ID number.
- Review the scholarships on our website and apply for the free money for college early.
- Vista Irrigation District Scholarship due by 4:00 PM on Friday, February 23, 2024
March 2024
- Scholarship Deadline for Palomar College. Click on the “Apply for Scholarships” tab on the Student Center page.
April 2024
- April 2nd FAFSA due for first priority on state aid applications
- Assistance League of North Coast Scholarship due April 19, 2024
- Night of Excellence 4/25 5:30-7:00
- 26th - Grad Night Ticket payments due in full
- Note: No extra tickets will be available for purchase after this date. If students do not send in the money by the due date, they will not be able to go to grad night.
- No refunds are available once tickets are purchased and no additional tickets will be available.
- 26th: If you plan to walk, Cap and Gown payment is due
May 2024
- Maintain your grades
- Trade Tech Scholarship application due
- CAST Testing all 12th graders 5/7-5/10
- Study for finals
- Senior Finals – May 28 and 29 – In classes
- Senior Breakfast – May 30 8:30 - to 9:30 am – Volunteers needed
- Awards/Scholarship Presentations – May 30 10:00 to 11:45
- Cap and Gown/Ticket pick up - May 30 11:45 to 1PM
- Drop off school Materials; books, chromebooks, and or pay fees - May 30 11:45 to1 PM
June 2024
- No Seniors on Campus May 31st thru June 7th
- Senior Activities May 31st thru June 7th- TBD
- June 7th - Graduation Practice at 4 pm
- June 7th - Graduation at 5:30 pm @ North County Trade Tech High School, tickets required for entry NO EXCEPTIONS. (TICKETS PER FAMILY-TBD)
- Grad Night: June 7 -departing after the ceremony (7:00 PM)
- Complete your FAFSA before June 30th, 2024 @https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
- June 30th, 2024 is FAFSA’s Federal Deadline.
Note:
The senior activities, graduation ceremony, and grad night are not required
to graduate or earn a diploma from Trade Tech High School.
If additional ceremony tickets are required, please email Livi to be placed on a waitlist. Additional tickets ARE NOT guaranteed.
