Use the attached pdf of the Module 8 Study Guide to create you vocabulary log for Rotational Motion. Then, use the attached Study Guide and YouTube videos to copy down the relevant formulas to your formula sheet for future reference (pause the video when you do this to give yourself more time).
Due:
Since the McGraw Hill site is temporarily unavailable for Physics, this assessment will count as an "extra credit" assignment. As soon as online access is restored, the digital version will be made available (in the meantime, use the attached pdf file to copy down and solve the problems so you can enter you answers when access is restored or to complete a hardcopy and deliver it to me oncampus).
Due:
The McGraw Hill website is temporarily unavailable for Physics, so there will only be a vocabulary log option for this Module.
Due:
Complete a "vocabulary log" in Google Doc that you submit by "sharing" with me and granting me editing privileges at [email protected]. The terms from Module are the "bulleted" words listed in the attached pdf file, so all you need to do is copy the terms into your Google Doc, then properly define them in your own words. Use the "flash cards" enabled in each of the Module 6 Lessons to get the definitions or use the Multilingual Glossary listed as an assignment in the McGraw Hill (and linked in stream for this Google Classroom)
Due:
As mentioned during class last week, beginning with Module 5, the Lesson Checks and the Module Tests will not be required assignments moving forward and will be replaced by this single assessment. This assignment is worth 25 points in the Synergy gradebook, but scores in excess of 25 points (up to 30) will add to your points earned that will count towards you semester total (this is a way to make up for lost points as well as to earn extra credit).
Due:
There are two (2) ways to complete the vocabulary for Module 5. One way is to complete the Module 5 Vocabulary Practice in the McGraw Hill website (linked below). The other is to complete a "vocabulary log" in Google Doc that you submit by "sharing" with me and granting me editing privileges at [email protected]. The terms from Module 5 are the "bulleted" words listed in the attached pdf file, so all you need to do is copy the terms into your Google Doc, then properly define them in your own words. So, choose either the Vocabulary Practice or the "vocabulary log" to complete this assignment. Use the "flash cards" enabled in Module 5 Lessons 1, 2, & 3 to get the definitions.
Due:
This Unit 1 Test covers: Module 1 - A Physics Toolkit; Module 2 - Representing Motion; Module 3 - Accelerated Motion; and, Module 4 - Forces in One Dimension. This Unit Test worth a maximum of 100 points. This is a 50 point test in the gradebook, so your goal is to answer enough questions correctly to earn at least 50 points for a maximum score. You can earn an extra credit point for each additional 10 points you earn above 50 for a maximum score of 55 points on the Unit Test.
Due:
This assignment is worth 49 points in the McGraw Hill, but I am counting it as a 25 point assignment in the gradebook. You must earn at least 25 points in the McGraw Hill for full credit. If you score lower you may be awarded fewer points, but any points earned over 40 will be added to your score in Synergy for a maximum possible of 33 points on this assignment.
Due:

Due:
I like to start every year reviewing our understanding of the nature of science and the Scientific Method; to that end, please review the linked videos (starting with "The Nature of Science") as soon as possible (hopefully before our first class Zoom meeting). However, prior to that, please check your schedule to confirm what days and times we will be "Zooming" the class. I will walk everyone through getting hooked up with the my.mheducation.com website (link below) during the first class meeting, which will include getting you the class code. McGraw Hill, the textbook publisher, also has a smartphone app that you can use to access the textbook when you are set-up with the site. It is the Readanywhere App available for free download from Google and Apple stores, but will not substitute for a computer or a chromebook.
