Intro to Digital Media (S1) Assignments

Lesson 7 in Code.org is considered a project that you are required to finish to earn full credit.

We've been working on code.org writing codes to move the turtle around. Lesson 6 introduced us to top down design where we look at an object as a whole, break it down to smaller pieces.
Lesson 7 introduced us to parameters which allows us to customize our design with pen color, pen width, angles, etc. Your goal in these lessons is to finish as many bubbles as you can following each instruction as a self pace. Lesson 7 is due Friday 12/11

After finishing lesson 6 on code.org, we started lesson 7 with API and parameters. You are asked to finish all bubbles in lesson 7 to the best of your ability. We will trouble shoot and address all issues the following class.

Lesson 6 on code.org is now available which is somewhat the continuation of lesson 5. You will need to create some sort of a system to keep functions and commands separated and organized. Read each section's directions and do exactly what the "Do This" part asks!
Do bubble 2 and bubble 3
SKIP bubble 4(Advanced Placement)
Answer bubbles 5,6 and 7.

You were introduced to AppLab in Code.Org and the turtle programming. Please log into your code.org account and work on the lesson 5 (Creating Functions)
You will need to turn in bubbles 3 to 14 by the end of Monday 11/16.

This will be the continuation of the first assignment which is finishing up the lesson 5 as "Creating Functions" from bubble 3 to 14.

We start learning about programming and how computers take commands from human.
Go to Code.org and sign in with your school email and password. In lesson 4, Using simple commands, do bubble 3-9 and submit for grading.

Pick a sea food dish and prepare a presentation slides. Rename your file to "A Seafood Dish" This homework is 25% of your grade.
Your slides must include:
Introduction slide with your name
Name of the food
The origin of the food (Which country)
Ingredients and amount of ingredients
Instruction about how to prepare it
End slide
(Attention: You must apply all rules of 7 x 7, animation, transition, proper photos, proper theme and contrast)

Reading and summarizing assignment:
You are required to read the attached article about social media and summarize to the best of your ability.
Write your summary on the bottom of the article and separate it with a horizontal line.
Later on we will use the summary to create presentation slides.

Please watch the following Videos. The first one is funny but has some good points. The second one is 10 minutes long. We will cover that video for next two weeks. Watching this video will prepare you for class and will take lots of frustration away.

This is a homework where you will read each sentence and minimize it as much as possible without losing or changing the meaning of the sentence. Please watch the 3 minute video below and do your best in shrinking the sentences in the document. Write your sentences inside the boxes. NOTE: Make a copy of the document for yourself.

File management: You are asked to create folders and sub folder with files inside the folders. Once created, you will share with Mr. Aghai.

This is a reading assignment. Reath the article and write one or two paragraph comment on the section below.

Look at the picture below and create a similar flyer for a photography event. Upload your project to Google class for grading.

We will start working with Google Drive and its components. This assignment is a pre-evaluation of your knowledge based that would help me understand how much you know about Google Drive.

There are two sections to the quiz. Use your Flippy-Do tool to answer the following questions.

Convert the given numbers from binary to decimal and vise versa. This quiz is due on Tuesday by 3pm.
