Construction 2 - Construction Technology (Period 4,6,8)

Construction Technology (Constr. 2) is a review of construction tools and skills.  In addition, basic communication skills provide trainees with techniques for communicating effectively with co-workers and supervisors. . Students utilize their knowledge and skills to build projects of their personal interest (i.e. animal houses, picture frames, cutting boards, etc.).  Course emphasizes the importance of realistic budgets, working drawings and estimation skills.  Students will design personal projects, using design parameters given by the instructor.  Projects will include material take-offs, cost estimations and completion schedules.  Continued instruction in tool and personal safety are emphasized.
