Integrated Math 3
Course Description
Course 3 comprises algebra, geometry, discrete topics, and statistical reasoning into a highly interconnected mathematics course. The curriculum: emphasizes mathematical modeling; is designed to be accessible to more students, while challenging the most able students; uses technology tools such as graphing calculators; promotes active learning; and is supported by multi-dimensional assessments.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this class students should be able to:
- Represent linear relationships
- Apply matrix operations
- Apply the concept of slope to lines
- Determine equations of lines
- Solve and graph linear inequalities
- Solve and graph absolute value equations
- Solve systems of linear equations and inequalities, both in 2 and 3 variables
- Perform operations on complex numbers
- Graph and solve quadratic functions
- Apply properties of exponents
- Connect radical expressions and exponents
- Solve radical equations
- Simplify and evaluate rational expressions
