Re-Opening Update - October 12, 2020

October 12, 2020

Good Day Trade Tech Families,

Big week here at Trade Tech!  It is completely OPTIONAL to send your student in-person.  They will stay in distance learning for Core Classes (English, Math, History, and Science) and will be In-Person or in distance learning for Elective Classes (All Other Classes).  No decision or notification to us is required or permanent for In-Person classes.  Students can choose to be in-person one week and return to distance learning the following week.  But they must participate in all 3 days of school.  That part is a change, but is required.

Just like you, we are excited & happy, nervous & anxious.  It is a tough time for everyone.

    • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:15 am

If you are dropping off your student, we will scan temperatures while still in the car when possible.  If they are walking, riding a bike, or driving themselves we will scan before they enter the building.  Students may be scanned more than once.

  • Any student with a fever will NOT be allowed into the building or their classes.
    • They will need to join through distance learning.

At the door, they will be checked in and given a sticker with that date on it.  They must wear this sticker to all their classes or they will not be allowed to be in class.

  • Students with a fever/symptoms will wait outside while we contact parents for pick-up or permission to release.
  • If a student is not in-person, they are still required to be online with their class.

Masks covering the face and nose must be worn at all times in the buildings and social distancing of 6 feet or more is required at all times.

  • Students and staff may remove their masks when outside the building, but must still practice social distancing.

Students should use the bathroom prior to entering class.
