Students work on a long-term project involving engineering and scientific design. Projects include civil structures (bridges), gliders, rubber band propelled model airplanes, the prosthetic arm challenge, and model organs. After working for several month on their project, MESA students compete against other local MESA clubs at San Diego State University for a chance to place and go to the regional competition.
